I am a Textile Designer.

I was inspired to become a textile designer by my great-grandparents, hand weavers who built their own looms out of discarded maple furniture. I later used these (family heir)looms to learn to weave and fell in love with the art.

Working for domestic textile manufacturers for more than 15 years, I created original designs and selected the weaves and yarns to bring artwork to life as a dimensional fabric. I designed a variety of woven fabric types including outdoor, performance, silk, velvet, tapestry, polyester, cotton and multi-purpose. Over the years I also collaborated closely with some of of the industry’s most respected furniture manufacturers, jobbers, and retailers, to create exclusive collections.

I am an Interior Designer.

Interior Design serves as a primary source of inspiration for me while designing textiles. In fact, since I was a child I’ve loved space planning, antiquing, sewing pillows, and endless home DIY projects. Now, I am beginning a new chapter, working as an Interior Designer. I am excited to create spaces that are functional, inspiring, and enhance peoples’ daily lives. I believe the skills I gained from my previous experience, such as an expertise in fabric, color, and collaboration with clients and other designers will be an asset in this new field.

Over the last year, I dedicated myself to learning as much as I could about interior design, taking classes through NYSID and The New School, where I received a Certificate of Interior Design.
